Inspired by folk and rock they combined the two and came up with a unique sound of what is called Canadian rock. February 2025 came the first EP The where and the when releasing 4 songs. Five More MilesFive More Miles has been creating music for over a decade. Their sound is a blend of southern rock with an essence of country and blues. Originating in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the band is made up of four members. PJ Heppenstal on the drums, harmonica and vocal, his brother, Chad, on the bass guitar and vocal. On the lead guitar is Cam Candaele and on guitar/lead vocals is Mike Falk. The band has had the opportunity to play many venues around Winnipeg and rural Manitoba. Recently featured alongside industry big names at Shake the Lake Kenora Ontario, where Five More Miles opened for Catie St. Germain and Tim and the Glory Boys. DistodiusDistodius (2021) brings a high energy show every time they hit the stage. A blend of driving old school hard rock with a modern heavy groove, they cite bands such as Tool, Shinedown, Motley Crue and Halestorm as influences to their unique sound. (5 or 6am, Trial by Fire) SunbreatherSunbreather fuses the genres of funk, prog, and grunge (with a touch of jazz influence), crafting a sound that is both vibrant and refined. Their intricate, groovy rhythms and soaring melodies transport listeners to another dimension. Formed in 2022, their powerhouse rhythm section comprises of Noah Leggett on drums, James Langdon on bass, and Callum Young-Thiessen on guitar. However, its the incredible vocalist, Anah Rempel, who completes the ensemble, bringing a unique magic to their sound. Sunbreathers music is full of surprises and unexpected twists, showcasing the bands impressive musicianship and tight chemistry. With catchy hooks, organic grooves, and thoughtful songwriting, their music is both accessible and complex, appealing to fans of all kinds of music.
